Puan Explains The TNI Is Still On Guard At The DPR: Vital Objects, Security Determined By Security

JAKARTA - DPR Speaker Puan Maharani responded to the presence of TNI and Polri personnel who were still on guard at the DPR complex after a major demonstration that took place at the end of last August.

He emphasized that security in the parliament is the full authority of the security forces.

"Yes, the DPR RI is a vital object, so the one who can determine whether or not security is still needed or not, the security trap party and others," said Puan, Monday, September 22.

Since the demonstration a few weeks ago, the security in the DPR building area has indeed been monitored quite closely, with the presence of joint officers from the TNI and Polri. Although the situation is gradually conducive, the guard is still being carried out.

Responding to the political dynamics that developed after the action, including accusations against the PDI-P as the mastermind behind a number of actions, Puan chose to calm the situation.

Puan emphasized the importance of maintaining calm and a conducive atmosphere in dealing with various national issues, including those related to the safety of legislative institutions.

"We cool down first so that it is harmonious and peaceful," said Puan.
