Hundreds Of TNI Personnel Departed To The RI And Timor Leste Borders
KUPANG - Hundreds of TNI AD personnel from the Kostrad unit were dispatched to the border between Indonesia and the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste (RDTL) to guard the border area.
"Depart with great pride, you are the ambassador of the TNI, the nation's ambassador, as well as a reflection of the family. Hold fast to the Sapta Marga, the Soldier's Oath, and the Eight Mandatory TNI in every task," said Danrem 161/Wira Sakti Brigadier General Hendro Cahyono as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 22.
This was conveyed by him when holding a troop deployment to welcome the arrival of the Yonarmed 12/AY/2/2 Kostrad and Yonarhanud 2/ABW/2 Kostrad Combat Task Force at the Mako Lantamal VII Kupang.
The personnel will depart to replace the previous Pamtas task force, namely Battalion 741/Garuda Nusantara in the eastern sector and Yonarmed 15/Divif 3 Kostrad in the western sector which has served for one year in the border area.
The Yonarmed 12/AY/2/2 Kostrad Task Force replaces Battalion 741/GN Timor Sector, while Yonarhanud 2/ABW/2/Kostrad replaces the western sector of Yonarmed 15/DBY.
In his direction, he reminded all Indonesian Pamtas Task Force (RDTL) soldiers to carry out their duties with full responsibility and stay away from all forms of violations, including drugs, illegal logging, and illegal trading.
"The task of operation is honor and pride because not all soldiers get this opportunity. Do it with a sense of responsibility, maintain honor, and avoid the slightest violation," he said.
He asked all personnel to immediately orientation the region, study the characteristics of the terrain, and identify traditional leaders and the local community so that they can uphold local wisdom.

Danrem also emphasized the importance of building good social communication in order to realize the unity of the TNI and the people.
He also emphasized that all soldiers should maintain health, cohesiveness, not be easily provoked, and always take the time to worship.
"I hope and pray for all the soldiers of the Task Force to always be in His protection, and return from their assignment in complete and safe condition," he said.
