Contact Loss Helicopter Near Washington Military Base, Allegedly Accident
JAKARTA - The United States (US) army reported its military helicopter lost contact near a military base in the US State of Washington, Thursday, September 18.
Reports of the lost contact helicopter have reached Thurston County Sheriff's Office.
"We have been informed that the military lost contact with a helicopter in the area, and we are working with JBLM to deploy the resources needed to help," the office said in a social media post, quoted by ABC News.
The deputies suspected the helicopter had an accident near the Lewis Joint Base, McChord.
The Sheriff's Office said the initial suspicion was the possibility of an accident occurring near Lake Summit.
Reports so far do not include the number of passengers in the helicopter.
Currently, the authorities are investigating the helicopter's whereabouts.
