Inaugurated As Head Of BKP, Commission I Of The DPR Asks Angga Raka To Resign From Deputy Minister Of Komdigi
JAKARTA Member of Commission I DPR, Syamsu Rizal asked Angga Raka Prabowo to resign from the position of Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi), after being officially inaugurated as Head of the Government Communications Agency (BKP) which is a transformation of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) or the Presidential Communication Office.
Syamsu Rizal hopes that the presence of BKP under the leadership of Angga Raka can strengthen the overall government's communication governance. However, he suggested that Angga should resign from the seat of Deputy Minister of Komdigi, so that he could properly translate President Prabowo Subianto's thoughts and convey them to the public effectively.
"Angga Raka must really be able to translate President Prabowo's thoughts so that the president's message can be conveyed properly, clearly, and does not cause confusion," said Syamsu Rizal to reporters, Thursday, September 18.
Syamsu Rizal emphasized that BKP needs to build a strategic and responsive communication system because it must reduce gap informations that arise due to institutional egos between ministries or institutions.
According to him, actual and accurate information must flow to the President every day, so that the head of state can immediately respond to various problems that arise in society.
Every day, BKP must provide actual information to the president. That way, the president can take quick steps against existing problems, "said the PKB legislator from the South Sulawesi I electoral district.
He added, in addition to conveying the president's message to the public, BKP must also be able to make careful communication planning. This, said Ical, is very important to prevent overlapping messages and confusion in government communication.
The communication agency must develop a well-planned communication strategy. That way, every government policy can be understood by the public clearly and not multiple interpretations," he concluded.
As reported, Gerindra politician Angga Raka Prabowo was inaugurated as head of the Government Communications Agency (BKP) by President Prabowo at the Palace, Wednesday, September 17, yesterday.
