Data Integration With Directorate General Of Population And Civil Registration Accelerate BRI Service Process

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI has succeeded in optimizing the use of population data integration with the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil). This innovation is one of BRI's important breakthroughs in encouraging operational efficiency, accelerating the service process, and strengthening customer confidence.

This was conveyed by the Director of Operations BRI Hakim Putrantama at the One Data For All: Summit of Population Data Semester I 2025 at the Auditorium of the Tower of Bank Mega, South Jakarta, Thursday (28/8). Through strategic cooperation with Dukcapil, BRI is able to maximize the verification process and manage risks, so that micro credit disbursement can reach IDR 1 trillion per day. This extensive and accurate data access allows us to provide services that are much faster, more efficient, and safe for customers,' explained Hakim.

As a bank with the largest customer base in the country, every day BRI makes about 500 thousand accesses to Dukcapil to process customer data and prospective customers. Prior to data integration, the customer verification process took hours and affected the quality of the service. Now, with systems directly connected to the national population database, the process becomes faster, more accurate, and efficient.

If this access does not exist, it is impossible for BRI to disburse microcredit worth IDR 1 trillion per day. The impact is not only for BRI, but also for government programs that we run, including the distribution of Social Assistance and KUR," added Hakim.

In the digital era, data becomes a strategic asset. The judge emphasized that future winners are superior parties in information technology and data mastery. The concept of single identity based on Population Identification Number (NIK) is the foundation of BRI in providing modern banking services. This integration allows BRI to verify data in real time, increase the accuracy of credit risk assessment, and provide services that are more personal according to customer needs.

"We not only rely on data from Dukcapil, but also combine it with customer behavior such as transaction patterns, shopping preferences, to consumption habits. This approach allows BRI to present more relevant and targeted financial solutions," explained Hakim.

BRI continues to establish intensive discussions with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia (BI), and Dukcapil to ensure the implementation of data integration runs optimally and according to regulations. In addition, BRI is committed to maintaining customer data security and confidentiality in every process.

"We always ensure that the use of data is carried out with the principles of prudence and protection of customer privacy. Synergy with regulators is the key to providing a safe, inclusive, and sustainable digital banking service ecosystem," concluded Hakim. (ADV)
