After Riot Demo In Jakarta, Students And Students Urge The President To Overcome Problems
JAKARTA - The demonstration led to riots that occurred a few weeks ago which began to be criticized by a number of students, students and youth who are members of the Indonesian People's Solidarity Alliance (ASRI) and the Indonesian National Women's Coalition (KNPRI).
ASRI and KNPRI Coordinator, Fikri said, the act of expressing opinions in public or demonstrations is the constitutional right of every citizen.
However, this right must be done in a good, orderly, and dignified manner.
According to him, the demonstration that led to the riots would harm the community and damage the image of the struggle.
"All forms of anarchism, vandalism, and attempts to clash and pit the people against the police and the TNI will only harm the people, damage the image of the struggle, and injure the spirit of democracy. It was a despicable and barbaric act," said Fikri in Central Jakarta, Saturday, September 13, 2025.
According to Fikri, concrete steps must also be taken by President Prabowo Subianto who has received mandates and trust from the people. So, he continued, the President can solve all problems so that the situation returns to normal.
"We believe and believe that the President is able to carry out his duties as Head of State in realizing security, safety and prosperity for all Indonesian people," he said.

"Regarding the current situation, freedom of opinion is the right of every citizen, but it must be distributed in a peaceful, orderly, and without anarchism," he said.
Fikri said that his party demanded the government to respond to the aspirations of the people quickly, precisely, and clearly, not only limited to discourse without concrete resolution.
"We ask that freedom of expression be guaranteed by the constitution, without any pressure, criminalization, or silencing the voices of the people who are critical," he said.
His party also demands that there be fair, transparent, and selective law enforcement, including thoroughly investigating the intellectual actors behind the riots that harm the Indonesian people.
"The government must open wide space for public participation in policy making, especially regarding the fate of all Indonesian people," he explained.
In addition, state officials are required to be responsible for the mandate given by the people with full transparency and accountability.
Fikri emphasized that his party rejects all forms of provocation that divide the nation.
"Prioritize the interests of the people and the nation above the interests of groups or a handful of people who have political desires. We believe that Indonesia is a common home. Let's maintain unity, peace, and democracy in a dignified manner," he said.
