PM Anwar Highlights Clashes Of Residents With Police During House Execution In Kuala Lumpur
JAKARTA - Dang Wangi Police Chief, Kuala Lumpur, putra Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman was injured in the head due to a hard object collision while securing the execution of emptying a number of house buildings in the New River Village area which took place in chaos, Kuala Lumpur.
The incident received the spotlight from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim who later expressed regret for the incident.
"The government respects the right to gather peacefully and express its aspirations, but the principle of freedom also demands that we be responsible and must obey the law, custom and law," said PM Anwar Ibrahim as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, September 11.
He said the incident by a handful of mass officers against the Dang Wangi Police Chief could not be justified.
"I have asked related parties to immediately arrest the mastermind and perpetrator of the attack," said Anwar.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Police in their statement stated that a number of people suspected of being responsible for the incident had been arrested by officers.

As a result of the incident, Dang Wangi Police Chief Sulizmie suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment.
The incident began when a court decision was carried out on the emptying of 37 Teres (houses lined up) in the Kampung Sungai Baru area, Kuala Lumpur, Thursday morning.
The execution met with resistance from local residents, until the attack on Sulizmie took place.
