Council Budget Abroad Removed, Central Java Governor Asks For No Increase In DPRD Allowances
Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi asked regents, mayors, and chairman of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) throughout Central Java not to increase the leadership allowance and members of the DPRD.
"We urge you not to increase related to allowances. We will confirm that," he said, after a coordination meeting with regents, mayors, as well as leaders of the Central Java DPRD and districts/cities at the Central Java Governor's office, Semarang, Thursday, September 11.
He also asked each regent and mayor to hold a meeting with the local DPRD to evaluate the allowance.
"We have given the evaluation of the allowance for one week to the Regents and Mayors to hold meetings with their respective DPRDs, adjusted to the capabilities of their respective regions. The point is that," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
He also emphasized that the allowance for foreign visits had been deleted.
"Nothing, abroad was deleted," said the former Central Java Police Chief.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Central Java DPRD, Sumanto, said that each region will make an application (value assessment) to determine the amount of allowances, including housing allowances.
A week after this, he said, an evaluation would be carried out, including in the Central Java DPRD.
"Later, after one week, we will see based on the approximation," he said.
Once the results are available, it will be discussed again with the Governor to get the best agreement.
"The name is appraisal, so it will be reduced later," he said.
