Disbursing Mahasiwa Research Funds Of IDR 110 Billion, Kemdiktisaintek Try To Encourage Research Towards Downstreaming
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) through the Directorate General of Research and Development (Ditjen Risbang) poured Rp110 billion in funds for various student research programs.
These programs include the Impacted Consortium Research Program (RIUB), the Impact Student Program: Community Empowerment by the Student Executive Board (BEM), the Community Service Program for the Regional and Entrepreneur-Based Empowerment Scheme, and the Community Service Program for the Batch III Community-Based Empowerment Scheme.
"The Directorate General of Risbang has formulated so that quality research can still be maximized even with limited fund support. I hope that the existing achievements can continue to be maintained, because I am sure that there are many excellent research that we can encourage towards downstream," said Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Mendiktisaintek) Brian Yuliarto through a statement in Jakarta, Thursday, confiscated by Antara.

Minister of Education and Technology Brian emphasized that this is a form of the government's commitment to continue to maximize the quality of research in Indonesia.
He emphasized the importance of the role of universities as the frontline in presenting solutions to national problems, one of which is through waste management research.
"If the results of this research are applied to all campuses, universities are not only able to manage their own waste, but also contribute to the management of the surrounding environment, so that the benefits can really be felt by the community," said Minister of Education and Technology Brian Yuliarto.
Meanwhile, the Director General (Dirjen) of Risbang Kemdiktisaintek Fauzan Adziman explained that the Impact Winning Consortium Research Program (RIKUB) received an allocation of IDR 45.4 billion to fund 82 proposals. Meanwhile, the Impact Student Program received funding support of IDR 30.1 billion for 263 proposals.
Furthermore, in the field of community service, the Regional and Entrepreneur-Based Empowerment Scheme was allocated Rp13.7 billion for 101 proposals from 67 universities.
In addition, the Community Service Program for the Batch III Community-Based Empowerment Scheme received funding of Rp34.7 billion, which supported 948 proposal titles from 434 universities.
"Through these programs, we hope that research and innovation can develop in real terms and immediately answer the needs of the community," said Fauzan Adziman.
Furthermore, the Director of Research and Service to the Ministry of Education and Technology I Ketut Adnyana expressed congratulations and appreciation to the recipients of operational assistance.
He emphasized that his party is ready to provide technical guidance if needed to support the smooth implementation of the program.
"We have two hopes for these schemes. First, a real impact for beneficiaries and the target community. Second, a healthy collaboration, not competition," said I Ketut Adnyana.
