Toyota Segarkan Corolla In Chinese Market, Similar To The Prius At The Front
JAKARTA Toyota continues to refresh its ranks in the Chinese automotive market. After RAV4 and CH-R, now it's Toyota Corolla's turn to get a touch of change.
Citing the Carscoops report, Thursday, September 11, the leak of Corolla's latest design was revealed through documents from the Ministry of Industry and Chinese Information Technology. From this picture, the front look of the Corolla facelift looks much more modern. The main light is now in the form of letter C which is connected to a thin LED strip, combined with a new ramper with a slimmer style and a smaller airtake. At first glance, the design of the headlights is even reminiscent of the Toyota Prius.
From the side, his body profile still retains the typical character of Corolla, although it is likely to come with the latest rim design. While behind, finer changes can be seen from the use of dark lis around the back lights as well as the disappearance of the previous hybrid variant blue logo.

For the choice of engines, the Corolla facelift still offers two options. The hybrid variant is equipped with a 97-hp (72 kW/98 PS) powered 1-liter engine combined with a hybrid system using a lithium nickel cobalt oxide battery. This combination is capable of producing a peak speed of 160 km/h. Meanwhile, the conventional gasoline variant comes with a 2.0 liter engine powered by 169 hp (126 kW/171 PS), which can go up to 180 km/hour, even with a lower fuel efficiency than the hybrid version.
Toyota Corolla's official facelift debut is scheduled to take place in China. However, it is still a question mark whether the update will also be present in the Indonesian and global markets.
