President Conveys Condolences To Bali-NTT Flood Victims, Orders To Accelerate Handling
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto expressed his deep sorrow for the flood victims that hit the provinces of Bali and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The head of state asked for the acceleration of handling at the disaster site.
"President Prabowo Subianto expressed his condolences for the flood disaster that hit several areas in the provinces of Bali and East Nusa Tenggara," said Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya in a written statement on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
According to Seskab, President Prabowo immediately responded quickly to the disaster. The Head of State immediately instructed the Head of BNPB and related agencies to move quickly to the disaster site, as well as to emphasize that the distribution of aid can be carried out quickly and on target.
"Today afternoon, President Prabowo has instructed the Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and other relevant agencies to act quickly in disaster locations immediately. The Head of State also emphasized the importance of distributing aid quickly and on target," said Seskab.

Following up on the directive, Seskab said that the Head of BNPB immediately went to Bali to lead the handling of emergency response. The presence of BNPB in the field is expected to ensure that search, rescue, and fulfillment of the basic needs of the affected residents can be carried out properly.
"The head of BNPB, also on President Prabowo's orders, immediately left for Bali this afternoon, to directly lead the handling of emergency response and ensure search and rescue efforts, as well as to meet the basic logistics needs of the affected residents, can be carried out optimally," said Seskab Teddy.
Seskab also explained that previously BNPB had distributed initial assistance to affected areas in the form of rubber boats and machines, refugee tents, food packages, mattresses, blankets, alkon pumps, to other funds and support as needed in the field.
