Apple Watch Series 11: Hypertension Monitoring And Battery Lasts Longer In Unchanged Design

JAKARTA - Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 11 at its prime September event on September 9, 2025, with an improvement that emphasizes the health, performance, and software intelligence. This smartwatch comes alongside the iPhone 17 lineup and is equipped with watchOS 26. Preorders open from September 12, with general availability on September 19.

At first sight, the Apple Watch Series 11 appears almost identical to the Apple Watch Series 10. Aluminium finishing and stainless steel are back, while the square design remains unchanged. Many of Apple's promotions to this new model focus on advances in data processing, not new hardware. There are two major upgrades to this model: longer battery life and stronger screen cover.

Apple Watch again shares the stage with the iPhone lineup at Apple's main event. It comes with watchOS 26, the preorder opens on September 12, and is available in stores starting September 19.

The design change is very subtle, but the durability is enhanced with a new Ion-X glass screen that is twice as resistant to the previous one. The Apple Watch Series 11 also adds 5G cellular connectivity with more efficient wireless power usage. Battery life is assessed for up to 24 hours.

On the software side, the face of the new clock includes Flow, which features Apple's "Liquid Glass" design language, and Exactograph, a precision-focused layout.

The smartwatch features include sleep scores, gores resistant glass, recycled materials, ECG, hypertension warnings, gestures, 5G, fast charging, and direct translation. Thin design, new finishing, training friends, long-lasting batteries.

Health is the center of attention of this update. The new high blood pressure app can notify users when detecting hypertension patterns. Apple stated that the FDA approval is still waiting. Sleep tracking also gets a "sleep Score" that considers movement, heart rate, and breathing to measure quality.

These new features are also available on the Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and Apple Watch Ultra 3.

The Apple Watch Series 11 starts at $399 (IDR 6.5 million) in the US. Customers can choose between finishing aluminum in space grad, jet black, rose gold, and silver, or titanium poles in natural, gold, and slab.

Preorders open today in more than 50 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Germany, Japan, and India. Public availability begins Friday, September 19.

The new Apple Watch rope, including the fresh option of Nike and Hermès, is also available for booking now, with availability in stores starting the same day. WatchOS 26 update will be released on September 15 for the Apple Watch Series 6 and later, Apple Watch SE (2nd generation) or later, as well as all Apple Watch Ultra models.
