DPR Asks The Ministry Of Public Works To Accelerate Repairing Public Facilities Damaged Due To Demonstration
JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission V DPR RI Lasarus asked the Ministry of Public Works (PU) to allocate the budget and immediately accelerate the construction of a number of public facilities damaged due to the demonstration at the end of August 2025.
This was conveyed by Lasarus while chairing a Working Meeting (Raker) with the Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of PKP to BMKG at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, September 4.
"We all members and leaders agree, the minister, please set aside the Ministry of Public Works budget from any source, please immediately build public facilities that have been damaged," said Lasarus.
"So that the wheels of government in the regions run normally again. Because the wheels of local government are part of the wheels of government of this country, sir," he continued.
Previously, PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said that his party had prepared a budget of around Rp900 billion to rehabilitate public facilities throughout Indonesia damaged by demonstrations at the end of August 2025.
This was conveyed by Dody when he visited the location of the Pejompongan Toll Gate (GT) in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 2.

"The total cost of all of Indonesia yesterday was almost Rp900 billion," said Dody.
Dody said the budget would be allocated to repair damaged public facilities, such as toll gates, bus stops, DPRD buildings to Transjakarta and MRT bus stops.
"We take the first point, the main thing is the toll gate. Because, right, the toll road is passed almost every day by all of our colleagues and Transjakarta bus stops and MRT are affected," he said.
"We will also renovate the DPRD buildings throughout Indonesia," he continued.
