There Is A Labor Demonstration Tomorrow, KAI Commuter Adds Security Officers At The Station

JAKARTA - KAI Commuter is taking anticipatory steps in the operation and travel services of Commuter Line, following reports of plans to convey the mass aspirations that will be carried out again in Jakarta on Thursday, August 28.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Joni Martinus said that his party had taken various anticipatory steps to keep users comfortable and the station safe.

"KAI Commuter will add or thicken security officers at stations located around the location of the planned delivery of mass aspirations. A total of 154 security officers will be alerted at these stations," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, August 27.

Joni detailed that at Tanah Abang Station there were 50 personnel, Palmerah Station as many as 53 personnel, Kebayoran Station 24 personnel, and Karet Station as many as 27 personnel.

"The addition of security personnel consists of internal KAI Commuter officers as well as elements of the TNI/Polri," he said.

In addition to security officers, KAI Commuter has also alerted or deployed post officers from all KAI Commuter office employees to assist user services in the station area.

Rangkasbitung KRL Travel Pattern

Joni added that the KAI Commuter will also engineer the pattern of Commuter Line travel operations, especially on the Rangkasbitung route, if the conditions on the cross-track between Tanah Abang and Polrerah are not conducive and endanger train travel such as on Monday, August 25, 2025, then.

"KAI Commuter will close the Commuter Line Rangkasbitung travel service starting from Tanah Abang Station to Palmerah Station if the condition of the route is not conducive," he said.

"Thus, the Rangkasbitung Commuter Line travel service will only last until Kebayoran Station or Palmerah Station to return to Serpong, Parungpanjang, and Rangkasbitung," continued Joni.

In addition, KAI Commuter will also engineer a Commuter Line travel schedule in the afternoon and evening situationally according to conditions across.

KAI Commuter will focus on that time to unravel the user's density, especially on the Commuter Line Rangkasbitung service.

Joni appealed to all Commuter Line users to look for alternative departure stations and other arrivals besides Palmerah Station.

For users to Serpong/Rangkasbitung, they can go up and down at Kebayoran Station. Meanwhile, users to Cikarang, Bogor, and Tangerang, can go up and down at Karet Station," he explained.
