SPSL Introduces The Role Of Ports For Indonesia's Economy.

JAKARTA - PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL) together with PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 held a Port Visit program at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta. The goal is to introduce the strategic role of ports in Indonesia's economy and connectivity.

It is known, more than 90 percent of the flow of Indonesian export-import goods still depends on sea routes. The position of the port as the main node for logistics makes it a vital support for the national economy.

"We want students to see firsthand how the port works, so that they can understand its important role for the nation. This activity also instills the spirit of nationality and maritime insight," said SPSL Corporate Secretariat Senior Vice President Dewi Fitriyani, Friday, August 22.

The Port Visit activity, which was attended by hundreds of elementary school (SD) students, began by visiting the Indonesian Maritime Museum to field tours to witness loading and unloading activities at ports.

It is hoped that this activity will have an impact on the younger generation to love the country more by knowing Indonesia's great potential as an archipelagic country. Ports are not only trade gates, but the heart of the nation's connectivity.

The collaboration between Pelindo Solusi Logistik Group and Pelindo Regional 2 Group in this activity proves our commitment to bring real benefits to society. The implemented TJSL program is expected to inspire and provide useful knowledge for the future of students," added Dewi.

In addition, SPSL emphasized its role as a Port SOE Subholding which is always committed to presenting social programs that have an impact and relevance for the next generation of the nation.

"Hopefully the spirit of independence that we celebrate on the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia will become the energy for Unity, Sovereign, People of Prosperous, Advanced Indonesia. Hopefully, the experience of learning directly at this port also inspires younger students to continue to dream, innovate, and contribute to the progress of the nation," said Dewi.
