'The Gates Of Hell Will Open', Israeli Defense Minister Spreads Threats To Gaza Without Caring For The Lives Of Civilians
JAKARTA - Israel's Defense Minister (Menhan), Israel Katz has vowed to destroy Gaza City if Hamas does not agree to lay off arms, release all remaining hostages in the region, and end the war in accordance with Israeli terms.
This threat is for the sake of Israel's goal regardless of the lives of civilians in Gaza City. As many as 61,722 Palestinians have died as of August 18, 2025, since Israel launched its attack on Gaza in October 2023.
"Soon, the gates of hell will open on top of the heads of the killers and rapists of Hamas in Gaza until they agree to Israel's requirement to end the war, especially the release of all hostages and their weapons removal," the Israeli Defense Minister wrote on his social media accounts on Friday 22 August.
"If they disagree, Gaza, the capital Hamas, will be Rafah and Beit Hanoun," added the Israeli Defense Minister.
Rafah and Beit Hanoun are known to be two cities in Gaza that have been destroyed by Israeli military operations.

Israel's Defense Minister's statement comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered his side to negotiate aimed at releasing all remaining hostages in Gaza.
Netanyahu added that pressure to free the hostages would accompany operations to control Gaza City and destroy Hamas strongholds.
Netanyahu's efforts are amid Israel's efforts to build large illegal settlements in the West Bank. Israel's actions to build settlements for its citizens on Palestinian soil are considered to violate international legitimacy. However, Israel continues to break international rules and continues to enforce its will.
In fact, as many as 21 countries including Britain and France refused to sign a joint statement agreeing that Israel would build large illegal settlements in the West Bank of Palestinian soil.
They considered the plan unacceptable and was a violation of international law.
The Head of Foreign Affairs of the European Commission (EU) said Australia, Canada, and Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden also signed a statement against the Israeli development project in the West Bank.
