JAKARTA - The Department of Fire and Rescue (Damkartan) of Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) noted that they had evacuated or caught 50 different types of snakes in residents' homes during the first semester of 2025.
"The total number of snakes that have been evacuated during January-July 2025 is around 50," said Head of the Central Lombok Regency Fire Department, Supardan, in Central Lombok, Friday, as reported by Antara.
He said the types of snakes caught ranged from pythons, pythons and other types of wild snakes that could endanger public safety.
The snakes were caught, because they entered people's homes, so an evacuation was carried out to avoid unwanted things.

He said the snake caught by the officer was immediately handed over to the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) to be released in its habitat.

"We are still ready to provide assistance to the community," he said.
He said that during this dry season, his party also began to be on standby for forest fires by forming several service posts in areas prone to fires.
"We urge residents not to burn land or garbage carelessly this dry season," he said.
