After Wamenaker Was OTT KPK, Palace: Not Sure There Is A Reshuffle
JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi stated that the government is still waiting for official results from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Immanuel Ebenezer or Noel caught in a sting operation (OTT).
Prasetyo said there was a 1x24 hour lag for the KPK to convey the progress of the legal status concerned.
"We'll wait 1x24 hours, what will the results of our friends at the KPK look like," said Prasetyo when asked about the government's attitude in responding to Wamenaker's position, who is now caught in a legal case at a press conference at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Thursday.
If proven, said Prasetyo, then the legal process and administrative steps will be immediately taken by the authorities.
"If it is later proven ( legally, ed), we will immediately carry out the process against the person concerned," he said.
Regarding the possibility of changing the position of an official, Prasetyo stated that this would not necessarily happen automatically.
According to him, the mechanism for changing state officials has its own rules and is not carried out directly on the same day.
"That then will there be a change which is termed a reshuffle? Not necessarily, wait a minute," he said.
