PAP Resident Doctor Sueded 12 Years In Prison For Rape Case Of 3 Victims At RSHS Bandung

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the West Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has demanded that the defendant, the resident doctor of Priguna Anugrah Pratama, be sentenced to 12 years in prison in the rape case of three victims at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) Bandung.

Head of West Java Prosecutor's Office, Sri Nurcahyawijaya, said the Public Prosecutor charged the defendant with Article 6c, Article 15 paragraph (1) letters b, c, e, and Article 16 paragraph (1) of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS).

"In the trial, the Public Prosecutor read out the indictment. The penalty is 12 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 300 million," said Cahya in Bandung, Thursday, was confiscated by Antara.

Cahya said the inaugural trial held at the Bandung District Court was closed with the agenda of reading the charges.

He added that the trial was held behind closed doors because the case was related to immorality.

"Because this is an immoral trial, it will be held behind closed doors," he said.

During the trial, the defendant Priguna and his attorney planned not to file an exception or memorandum of objection to the indictment from the prosecutor.

According to him, the Bandung District Court (PN) Panel of Judges still gave the defendant the opportunity to file an exception.

"From the information I conveyed, although it was not submitted but given the opportunity by the panel of judges. (Witness) It will only be in court, because it is still for the sake of proof," said Cahya.

Previously, Priguna had been detained by the police since March 23, 2025. The detention was carried out after the victim's family reported allegations of rape experienced by the victim with the initials FH, who at that time was guarding his father who was being treated at RSHS.
