As reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 11, Merauke Police Chief AKBP Untung Sangaji said, three Merauke Prison officers on duty (picket) Saturday, May 8, have been asked for information in Merauke Police Headquarter.

He mentioned that two of the victims were Melianus Gebze and Sebastian Basik-Basik.

The persecution of the two victims was due to the issue that they were the perpetrators of the black magic that killed Emilianus Kaitimu. In fact, he died from COVID-19.

In addition to asking for information from prison officers, investigators also asked for information from 18 prisoners of Merauke Prison.

"Investigators have the names of the alleged perpetrators of the abuse to kill both victims," said Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Untung, while stating it could not be revealed to the public because it is still under investigation.
