The Budget Of The Ministry Of PKP Is IDR 10.9 Trillion In The 2026 RAPBN, What Is It Used For?
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has determined that the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) will receive a budget of IDR 10.9 trillion in the Draft State Revenue and Expenditure Plan (RAPBN) for Fiscal Year (TA) 2026.
Referring to Book II of the Financial Note and the 2026 RAPBN, the budget allocation of the Ministry of PKP 2026 increased from the budget in 2025, which was IDR 4.7 trillion.
Meanwhile, Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that the budget of the Ministry of PKP in 2026 will mostly be used for a number of housing programs, such as the implementation of house renovations or the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) program.
Sri Mulyani detailed that next year's BSPS will be allocated to 373,939 housing units with a value of Rp8.6 trillion.
"The target (BSPS) 2026 is 373,939 houses, the budget has increased quite sharply (to) Rp8.6 trillion from this year's Rp1.4 trillion," Sri Mulyani said at a press conference on the Financial Note and RAPBN 2026 as quoted from the Ministry of Finance's YouTube, Wednesday, August 20.
Later, the BSPS program will be given to Low-Income Communities (MBR) to improve the condition of houses that are considered unfit for habitation.
"The Ministry of Housing has a program (BSPS) to provide directly to houses that need to be upgraded, especially from poor groups with self-help development," explained Sri Mulyani.
Previously, PKP Minister Maruarar Sirait (Ara) proposed an additional budget for 2026 of IDR 48 trillion. Meanwhile, the effective ceiling of the budget received by the Ministry of PKP is IDR 1.8 trillion next year.
"We propose an additional Rp48 trillion budget for 2026, so that the indicative ceiling is Rp49.8 trillion," said Ara at a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, July 10.

"Kami mohon doa dan dukungan dari teman-teman Komisi V. Kami mengusulkan dari usulan anggaran tersebut sebesar Rp45,55 triliun atau 91,37 persen untuk anggaran BSPS dengan target dua juta unit rumah di 2026," ucapnya.
Sementara sisa usulan tambahan anggaran sebesar Rp4,30 triliun akan digunakan untuk mendukung pencapaian target pembangunan dan renovasi 3 juta rumah.

"We ask for prayers and support from friends of Commission V. We propose from the proposed budget of Rp45.55 trillion or 91.37 percent for the BSPS budget with a target of two million housing units in 2026," he said.
Meanwhile, the remaining proposed additional budget of IDR 4.30 trillion will be used to support the achievement of the development and renovation targets of 3 million houses.
