Hospitals In Sudan Become Targets For Armed Attacks, 1 Person Dies
JAKARTA - The attack by an armed group killed one person at a hospital (RS) in the Darfur area, Sudan, Wednesday, August 20.
Citing AFP, medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF) reported that as a result of the attack its members consisting of doctors and medical personnel were forced to stop the operation.
Earlier, last week, the MSF said a similar attack left five people injured, one of which was medical personnel.
Since the civil war broke out in Sudan in April 2023 between regular soldiers and the Rapid Support Force (RSF). Since then, the United Nations has recorded more than 120 aid officers killed in Sudan.
