Because The Cadres Of The East Kolaka Regent Were Arrested By The KPK, NasDem Asked For The Term OTT To Be Replaced
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR from the NasDem faction, Ahmad Sahroni, asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to replace the term Hand Catch Operation (OTT) in the aftermath of his fellow NasDem cadre and East Kolaka Regent, Abdul Azis was arrested by the KPK after participating in the NasDem National Working Meeting in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
The reason is, according to Sahroni's understanding, OTT is the arrest of corruption suspects at the same time as transactions, not in different places.
"I just have to the point related to the OTT terminology which has been quite significant from the previous period. What we understand, in public spaces, in the media related to OTT, what we understand is that we are caught red-handed at instantaneous times, at the same time, not at separation between one place and another," said Sahroni in a working meeting with the KPK at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 20.
"What we understand, OTT is the place where transactions occur at the same time. There should be an arrest that should be whether the gentlemen in the investigators do not wait for the right space of time in an atmosphere, hopefully," he continued.
The General Treasurer of the NasDem Party then gave an example of the case of Abdul Azis' arrest after the NasDem National Working Meeting some time ago. When the news of OTT was published in the media, Abdul Azis, was still participating in party activities.
"I gave an example, sir, during the National Working Meeting, we arrested at the same time but at different places, until the general chairman I ordered me to convey directly. Logically, the criminal act committed by the person concerned may be criminal when you catch him, if there is a person, sir, it is better at the same time, arrest all of them, sir, but maybe the other escaped first, I don't know what the termology is, what the story is, "said Sahroni.
Sahroni hopes that the KPK will have the right time regarding this OTT activity. He also warned that a similar incident should not happen in seven other Parliamentary parties, where when carrying out party activities it is actually inserted with OTT activities.
"But we hope that your father has the right time, why do I say the right time for all of us here is 8 parties, lest the political party institutions on earth we are not appreciated, sir. We want the law enforcement that you do, we support 1000 percent, sir. whoever the perpetrator is, the person is Mr. brush sir, indiscriminately," said Sahroni.
"But if the arrest mechanism is not the same. If the time is not right, until someone enters the room into someone's room, sir, I salute the father's members entering someone's room, it's amazingly friendly, sir. Because humanist communication with the investigator enters someone's room, but humane is very good, sir, we appreciate it. But we really appreciate our political institutions in the institution, Mr., please appreciate each other," he explained.
Sahroni stated that political parties did not want to be 'cleaned up'. It's just that, he said, law enforcement must be in accordance with the appropriate corridor.
"We don't want to finally feel that 'oh, this political party is pretending to be pretending to be clean' or not, sir, in this Republic, nothing is clean, sir. We want that the law enforcement process that you are doing is in accordance with the corridor," he said.
"And please explain to us, sir, whether the OTT in question is the same time together, or if the person has moved to a place called OTT plus or even sir. If the OTT is not in the same capacity, it would be better if the name was changed, sir, not OTT again, but the perpetrators of criminal acts of people separating from places could be subject to articles participating and that the person concerned is the perpetrator of the crime that was previously arrested," concluded the Jakarta electoral district legislator.
