NTB Provincial Government: Trains Crossing Mount Rinjani National Park Are Still In The Study Stage
JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) confirmed that the construction of a cable car that crosses the Mount Rinjani National Park area of Lombok Island is still in the study stage.
Head of the NTB Information and Statistics Communications Agency (Kominfotik) Yusron Hadi said PT Indonesia Lombok Resort (ILR) as a cable car investor had met with Lalu Governor Muhamad Iqbal to convey his wish.
"In the hearing, investors presented an early picture of the projects they proposed, such as technical development, operations and economic impacts," he said in Mataram, Friday, which was confiscated by Antara.
He explained that the proposed project existed before Lalu Muhamad Iqbal and Indah Mohayanti Putri became the Governor and Deputy Governor of NTB.
"So this is the first time he has received a direct explanation regarding the proposed project," said Yusron.
Therefore, the Governor of NTB needs to learn more deeply about how this project is not only technically and economically, but what is more important than that is the acceptance of all parties from environmental, social, cultural aspects and even philosophical values that develop in the midst of society about Rinjani.
Furthermore, Yusron added, in the meeting with PT ILR, the Governor conveyed that it should be understood by the proposer/investor, Rinjani is not just a mountain entity, but Rinjani is Lombok Island, and the island of the Lombok roots are Rinjani, so the technical messages submitted by the Governor are very strong.
Therefore, the NTB Provincial Government will actively communicate with the central government regarding AMDAL which is in the process at the Ministry of Forestry.
"So all aspects that influence this project will intensively coordinate with the district government and listen to the aspirations of the people," he said.
