MPR Chair: MBG Is Not Just Giving Food But Investment In The Future
JAKARTA - Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani touched on the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program. He said this program is not just feeding, but a tangible form of future investment run by the government.
According to him, the government's achievements in this program need to be grateful. Because, the benefits are starting to be felt by the community.
"We should be grateful for the achievements of the Government which deserves to be recorded and the benefits begin to be felt. Eating Free Nutrition, this program is not just feeding but a big investment for the future of the nation," he said at the MPR RI Annual Session and the 2025 DPR-DPD RI Joint Session, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday, August 15.
Moreover, he said, malnutrition is a serious problem that Indonesia is still facing. Through MBG, continued Muzani, the government ensures that every Indonesian child has access to nutritious food.

"We know that nutrition is bad, stunting is a serious problem for us. Through this program (MBG) the government ensures that every Indonesian child has access to nutritious food, so that they can grow healthy, strong and intelligent," he said.
In addition, Ahmad Muzani assessed that the MBG program is also a driving force for the community's economy. At the same time as an instrument of economic equality.
"More than that, this program has become a driving force for the local economy and economic equity instruments," he explained.
