Drinking Tea Or Coffee In The Morning, Secrets Start The Day With A Better Mood
JAKARTA - For many people, the morning feels incomplete without sipping a cup of warm coffee or tea. A calming aroma, a feeling that raises enthusiasm, and a moment of calm before the start of the day, turns out to have benefits more than just a routine of science that supports it.
A study published in Scientific Reports revealed that the consumption of caffeine in the morning is closely related to an increase in mood.
In a report released by the Times of India, researchers found that a cup of coffee or tea, especially if taken immediately after waking up, could trigger positive emotions such as enthusiasm, vigilance, and motivation.
This effect is most pronounced in early hours after being maintained, even the peak is reached about two and a half hours after waking up. Factors such as quality sleep, fatigue levels, and social atmosphere when enjoying drinks also affect the results.

Interestingly, tea, although it contains fewer caffeine than coffee, still provides a significant mood boost. Secrets are in L-theanine, a natural compound in tea that helps the body relax, improve focus, and relieve stress.
However, consumption time also plays an important role. Studies show that drinking coffee or tea in the afternoon is about 1012 hours after waking up does not have a positive effect as large as in the morning.
This study also found that the moment of sharing a cup of coffee or tea with friends or colleagues was able to strengthen the positive impact. On the other hand, enjoying it alone remains useful, but the effect tends to be smaller.
In addition to social factors, genetics and individual habits in consuming caffeine also determine the body's response. Even so, the researchers agreed: starting the day with tea or coffee in a reasonable dose is not only a matter of taste, but also about encouraging emotions that make the day feel lighter and more excited.
