Police Make Sure To Build 200 Houses For Nduga Residents In 4 Jayapura Districts

JAKARTA - Police personnel on duty in Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains, are ready to secure the construction of 200 housing units which are central government projects for the people of Nduga.

"The TNI-Polri are ready to secure housing development for the people in Nduga Regency," said Nduga Police Chief AKBP Alfredo Rumbiak when contacted, confiscated by Antara.

He added that hundreds of housing units would be built in four districts, namely Kenyam, Yigi, Mugi, Napua districts in Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains.

Alfredo said the location for the construction of this people's house had been reviewed by the Director of Systems and Strategies for the Development of Rural Housing, Hari Rubiyanto.

Regarding the security situation in his vulnerable area in Nduga, Alfredo said that currently in a conducive situation. He hopes that the security situation will continue to be safe and peaceful.

He said that community activities, especially in Kenyam, were normal, but the security forces including the National Police remained on standby.
