WANTCHU Release, Keshi Introduces New Nuance Towards Next Album
JAKARTA - Keshi presented a new musical work in the middle of her tour that stopped at Madison Square Garden in New York City and Kia Forum in Los Angeles. This talented musician from Houston poured his creativity and character into the single 'WANTCHU' which was released via Island Records.
"'Wantchu' was originally just a recording engineering exercise that finally developed into a full song with the help of Porter Robinson, Boylife, Nick Velez, and Daniel Chae," said Keshi about her new song in a written broadcast, August 8.
This is the first recording born from a new studio in my house that will later become 'sand' for my music in the future. This song is also a sign of my return to a production style that is actually done directly by me, something I love, as well as proof of the concept for the next album," he added.
The launch of this song is a new beginning for keshi after the album Requiem (2024). The album offers a deep emotional and sonic spectrum. In its creative process, keshi not only sings with real emotions, but also plays bass, guitar, piano, and violin.
