KPK Targets Members Of Commission XI Who Are Suspected Of Participating In Enjoying BI-OJK CSR Funds According To Satori's Statement

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will investigate members of Commission XI DPR RI for the 2019-2024 period who participated in enjoying the BI Social Responsibility (CSR) and Financial Services Authority (OJK) for 2020-2023.

This deepening will be carried out after members of the DPR RI NasDem Satori faction admitted that it was not only him who enjoyed the money for the social program.

The legislator was named a suspect in alleged gratification and money laundering (TPPU) related to the distribution of BI-OJK CSR funds with Heri Gunawan who is a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Gerindra Party faction.

"That according to ST (Satori) most of the other members of Commission XI of the DPR RI also received the social assistance funds," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday night, August 7.

Asep ensured that investigators would investigate who paid the social funds. Including, according to or not using it.

"Of course we will explore the information from this ST brother who received the social assistance funds from Commission XI," he said.

In addition, BI and OJK motive for providing CSR funds to Commission XI of the DPR RI during that period will be investigated.

"Then we are also concerned about what reason BI and OJK are providing social assistance funds to Commission XI," said Asep, who is also the Director of KPK Investigations.

As previously reported, the KPK officially announced the legislators of the DPR RI from the NasDem Satori Party faction and Heri Gunawan, who are legislators of the DPR RI from the Gerindra Party faction, as suspects in the alleged corruption of CSR BI funds. They are suspected of receiving gratuities and money laundering (TPPU).

In this case, Satori allegedly received a total of IDR 12.52 billion. The details are IDR 6.30 billion from BI; IDR 5.14 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and IDR 1.04 billion from other working partners of Commission XI DPR RI.

The money is allegedly used for personal needs, such as deposits, land purchases, showroom construction, purchases of two-wheeled vehicles, and purchases of other assets.

Meanwhile, Heri Gunawan received a total of Rp15.86 billion and used it also for personal gain. The details are Rp6.26 billion from BI; Rp7.64 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and Rp1.94 billion from other working partners of Commission XI DPR RI.

The money was then accommodated in an account. Heri Gunawan then used it to build restaurants, manage drinking outlets, purchase land and buildings to purchase four-wheeled vehicles.

The social funds received by the two suspects from BI and OJK were immediately distributed to 4 foundations managed by the Aspiration House Heri Gunawan and 8 foundations managed by the Aspiration House of Satori.
