Hutama Karya Opens Voice About Alleged Corruption In The Trans Sumatra Toll Project
PT Hutama Karya (Persero) has opened its voice regarding the alleged corruption case in land acquisition for the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) project that dragged the former company's director, Bintang Prabowo, and former Head of the Business Development Division, M Rizal Sutjipto.
EVP Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim stated that the company respects the ongoing legal process.
State losses in that case are estimated at IDR 205 billion.
"Hutama Karya respects the ongoing legal process and will be cooperative and transparent in the process of investigating this case," said Adjib in a written statement, Thursday, August 7.
Adjib said that the company is currently also supporting the BUMN cleaning program which aims to eradicate corruption and improve the governance of state-owned companies.
The cleaning program includes preventive and repressive measures, including cooperation with the Attorney General's Office and the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
"Hutama Karya also ensures the implementation of good corporate governance in every business process," he concluded.
The KPK is investigating a case of alleged corruption in land acquisition around JTTS carried out by Hutama Karya for the 2018-2020 fiscal year.
It is known that the case began after Bintang was appointed President Director of PT Hutama Karya in April 2018.
He is said to have immediately held a board of directors meeting, one of which decided to purchase land around JTTS.
Furthermore, Bintang introduced his friend named Iskandar to the company's board of directors to convey the ownership of the suspect Iskandar's land in Bakauheni.
Then, Bintang asked Iskandar to make a land offer to PT Hutama Karya.

Kemudian pada September 2018, PT Hutama Karya melakukan pembayaran tahap I atas lahan Bakauheni sekitar Rp24,6 miliar.

Bintang also asked Iskandar to try to expand its land by buying land from the surrounding community, so that later PT Hutama Karya can directly purchase land from Iskandar or PT STJ.
"The suspect BP asked the suspect at the hospital as the Head of the Land Procurement Team to immediately purchase land from suspect IZ because the land contains andesit stones that can be sold," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu, Wednesday, August 6.
Then in September 2018, PT Hutama Karya made phase I payment on Bakauheni land of around Rp. 24.6 billion.
It's just that there are a number of irregularities, one of which is PT Hutama Karya carrying out unplanned land acquisition in the 2018 Company Budget Work Plan (RKAP).
The actions of the suspects then caused state losses of Rp205.14 billion based on the calculation of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
