PAN On PDIP's Position Becomes A Balance Party: We've Experienced That Attitude
JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) respects the official position of the PDI-P who takes a position as a balancing party in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government. PAN Deputy Eddy Soeparno said his party had also taken the same stance as the PDIP in the previous government.
"I think what PDIP has taken, we have also felt the PDIP attitude in PAN," said Eddy at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 6.
At that time, said Eddy, PAN had taken a stand outside the Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin government, but still supported government policies.
"That when PAN is outside the government, there is no representation in the government. But support the government and do the same," he said.

Although he did not put representatives in the cabinet, said Eddy, PAN still supports and succeeds in pro-people programs and policies. However, PAN still gave objective criticism when government policies began to deviate from the path that sided with the people.
"The good thing is that we fully support and if not, of course, we will give constructive, corrective criticism so that we can work together to fix it," explained Eddy.
Therefore, the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR RI assessed that the attitude decided by the General Chairperson of the PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, was right to be the government's balancer. Eddy also supports the PDIP to be critical and objective towards the running of the Prabowo-Gibran government.
"I think what Megawati said was very good, yes. In the sense that as a party, she can still be objective in conveying things that really need to be enforced," said Eddy.
"If there is a correction, it is done. But still supports a good thing," he concluded.
