JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Muara Baru Regional Police has succeeded in uncovering reports from residents regarding the alleged confinement of a child in the Muara Baru area, Tanjung Priok Port Police, North Jakarta.

The incident began on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. At that time, a woman named Dian, a Bekasi resident, came to the Muara Baru Regional Police with great worries about finding her child's whereabouts.

He reported that his son, Irvan, had previously said goodbye to work as a crew member (ABK) allegedly being held captive by illegal labor distributors around the Muara Baru area.

Victim Irvan worked as a crew member because he received a job offer through social media Facebook.

Tanjung Priok Port Police Chief, AKBP Dr. Martuasah H. Tobing responded to the report. Then the Muara Baru Regional Police immediately conducted an investigation in the field.

As a result, it was true that the victim was found in a labor distribution place that was suspected of not having legality or illegal distribution agents.

"The victim was immediately picked up and secured by officers, then taken to the Sector Police for further protection and assistance," he said when confirmed, Sunday, August 3, 2025.

The Tanjung Priok Port Police Chief expressed his appreciation to his staff for this quick and precise action.

"This success is clear evidence of the National Police's commitment to protecting the public, especially from the threat of human trafficking and the distribution of illegal labor," he said.

For the disclosure, Dian, the victim's parents, felt grateful after their child was saved.

According to Dian, the Muara Baru Regional Police acted quickly after receiving reports from residents. So that his son can reunite in the family.
