Export Value From January To June 2025 Reaches 135.41 Billion US Dollars

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded export performance from January to June 2025 of 135.41 billion US dollars, or an increase of 7.70 percent compared to the same period in the previous year or year on year (yoy) of 125.73 billion US dollars.

Deputy for Distribution and Services, Pudji Ismartini, said that the increase in exports from January to June 2025 was driven by the performance of non-oil and gas exports (oil and gas) which reached 128.39 billion US dollars, an increase of 8.96 percent (yoy) when compared to the same period in 2024 of 117.83 billion US dollars.

Meanwhile, the value of oil and gas exports from January to June 2025 reached 7.03 billion US dollars, or a decrease of 11.04 percent (yoy) when compared to the same period in 2024 of 7.90 billion US dollars.

"Then if we look at the sector, the cumulative increase in the value of non-oil and gas exports will occur in the manufacturing sector and the agricultural sector," he said at a press conference, Friday, August 1.

He added that the manufacturing sector was the main driver for improving non-oil and gas export performance from January to June 2025 with a contribution of 12.16 percent.

According to him, exports from the processing industry that rose quite large, namely basic metal palm oil instead of organic basic chemical iron sourced from semiconductor agricultural products and other electronic components as well as other electrical equipment.

Pudji said that exports of the forestry and fishery sector grew 49.77 percent, where exports of agricultural products that experienced a fairly large increase, namely coffee, annual fruits, aromatic medicinal plants and vegetable spices and fresh or cold fish caught.

Meanwhile, based on the country and the main destination for exports, the value of non-oil and gas exports to China was recorded at 29.31 billion US dollars, an increase of 8.37 percent compared to January to June 2024 of 27.05 billion US dollars.

Next, the value of non-oil and gas exports to the United States was recorded at 14.79 billion US dollars, an increase compared to January to June 2024 of 12.25 billion US dollars.

Furthermore, the value of non-oil and gas exports to ASEAN was recorded at 25.59 billion US dollars, an increase compared to January to June 2024 of 21.28 billion US dollars.

Then, the value of non-oil and gas exports to the European Union was recorded at 9.39 billion US dollars, an increase compared to January to June 2024 of 8.37 billion US dollars.

Meanwhile, the value of non-oil and gas exports to other countries was recorded at US$40.34 billion, an increase compared to January to June 2024 of US$38.18 billion.

Meanwhile, the value of non-oil and gas exports to India was recorded at 8.97 billion US dollars or a decrease compared to January to June 2024 of 10.70 billion US dollars.

"When compared cumulatively with the same period last year, from January to June 2025, non-oil and gas exports to the United States, ASEAN and the European Union have increased, while to India it has decreased," he said.
