Update On COVID-19 As Of 7 May: New 6.327 Cases, 167 Cases Of Death
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 75.990 specimens were examined with the results of 6.327 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 1.703.632 people and 98.546 active cases", the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Friday, May 7.
Recovered cases today increased by 5.891 cases so that a total of 1.558.423 people recovered. Then, 167 positive confirmed cases died and a total of 46.663 people.
The province with the newest cases is in West Java with 1.953 cases and a total of 288.821 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 783 new cases with a total of 288.821 cases. Riau has 628 new cases and a total of 47.779 cases. Then, Central Java has 524 new cases and a total of 186.933 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1.333 recovered cases. Followed by West Sumatra with an increase of 762 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an increase of 595 recovered cases, and Riau with an increase of 506 recovered cases.

There are two provinces that reported no new cases as of today. Provinces that reported zero new cases were Gorontalo and Maluku.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 15.078.279.
"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 17.45 percent", he wrote.
For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 84.430 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
Currently, 13.136.686 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 8.456.259 vaccines for the second dose. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40.349.051 people.
