Anggota Geng Motor 'Serigala Malam' Cilacap Dibacok Dies, 4 Tersangka Diancam 12 Tahun Prison
CILACAP - Cilacap City Police (Polresta) named four people as suspects in a motorcycle brawl that killed a young man on Jalan Veteran, South Cilacap District, Cilacap Regency, Central Java, last Saturday night.
The victim is known to be a member of a motorcycle gang with the initials AJ (25), a resident of Tambakreja Village, South Cilacap District. He died after being beaten and stabbed by a number of members of the HTF motorcycle gang.
"The brawl occurred on Saturday night, and after the investigation we named four suspects," said Deputy Head of Cilacap Police AKBP Rudi Saeful Hadi during a press conference at the Cilacap Police Headquarters, Antara, Thursday, July 31.
Rudi explained, out of a total of 13 people examined, four people were named as suspects, namely RAR (21), RZR (19), FJ (18), and RAG who were still minors.
The suspects were charged with Article 170 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code concerning beatings that resulted in death and the Emergency Law related to possession of sharp weapons. The maximum penalty is 12 years in prison.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim) of the Cilacap Police Commissioner Guntar Arif Setiyoko explained that AJ's victim was left behind after the initial clash between two motorcycle gangs. He then got into a one-on-two fight before being beaten by other HTF members who came later.
"The victim suffered severe injuries to the head, body, and leg as a result of a sharp weapon. Stab wounds that penetrated the heart were the cause of death," said Guntar.
The police also secured a number of evidences in the form of sharp weapons used in the incident.
Regarding the news of the eruption at the scene, Guntar confirmed that the sound came from an airsoft gun, not a firearm. The results of the examination also did not find any gunshot wounds on the victim's body.
