DBS Foundation Successfully Provides Technology Training To 3,000 Vocational Students And Students

JAKARTA - Bank DBS Indonesia together with the DBS Foundation have succeeded in providing intensive technology training to 60,000 Vocational High School (SMK) students and students, through the Coding Camp 2025 powered by the DBS Foundation program.

Not only that, the DBS Foundation has also provided basic training on 57,000 digital talents in Front-End & Back-End and Machine Learning.

Present since 2023, the Coding Camp strengthened by the DBS Foundation provides technology training aimed at presenting structured and high-quality learning in order to form skilled graduates who are ready to have careers in technology companies and startups.

This program is part of the commitment of Bank DBS which has allocated 1 billion Singapore dollars (Rp 16.4 trillion) over the next 10 years.

These funds are intended to support vulnerable communities and increase social impacts, including improving people's welfare to foster a more inclusive community.

Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Dikti Saintek), Fauzan expressed his appreciation for the Coding Camp which is able to hone hard skills and form soft skills, financial literacy, and critical power.

This program is a tangible manifestation of education that adapts to the times. This is a story of determination of energy and togetherness in building superior human resource foundations in the field of technology," said Fauzan.

By participating in this program, the participants have a multidisciplinary, deep, and up-to-date provision of tech skills, soft skills, and English skills according to what they need to start their first full-stack developer or AI/machine-learning engineer.

"This training not only equips them with digital skills, but also prepares them to become future talents (future-ready) who are able to become innovators, problem solvers, and future digital economy leaders," added President Director of PT Bank DBS Indonesia, Lim Chu Chong.
