JAKARTA - Persita Tangerang officially introduced the team that will enter the 2025/2026 Super League competition. In the fifth year of running in the country's highest level league, Persita will this time be led by coach Carlos Pena.

Accompanying Pena, there is Jan Saragih in the assistant coach position. The presence of these coaches is expected to boost the performance of the Cisadane Warriors to be able to finish at the top of the standings.

Carlos pen is trusted to guard the team because of the flying hours in Indonesian competitions. The former Persija Jakarta coach is expected to bring Persita to perform well throughout the season.

"We appoint the Pena carlos of course with various considerations and training experience. One of them is because he already knows the club and the players in the Indonesian League arena."

"We hope that by giving trust to Carlos Pena, Persita can perform even better in the coming season, and have the opportunity to finish in the top three or even win," said Persita President Ahmed Zaki Iskandar, in the team launch quoted in an official statement Monday, July 28, 2025.

Looking at the new season, Persita did not make many team reshuffles, especially on the list of foreign players. Last season's five mainstay players, Bae Sin Yeong, Javlon Guseynov, Tamirlan Kozubaev, Eber Bessa, and Igor Rodrigues, are still being maintained.

Meanwhile, the three foreign newcomers brought in were Matheus Alves (Brazil), Rayco Rodriguez (Spain) and Pablo Ganet (Guinea Khatulistiwa). In the squad there were also assisted players and senior players such as Muhammad Toha, Kurniawan Kartika Ajie, Mario Jardel, and Ryuji Utomo.

Meanwhile, coach Carlos Pena, who will be the captain of the team, hopes that his team will have high fighting power and never give up.

"We want the team to give their best to the end. We want to be a team that doesn't want to give up. Want to fight until the end of the game, in every game. I'm sure of that."

"As a coach and a player, you can't guess the final result because it doesn't just depend on us too on the opponent."

"However, this team will give 100 percent every game, every minute. We will work hard to make supporters proud. We want to be a team that builds an emotional side with everyone who comes to the Indomilk Arena."

"It all started with us. We are sure the fans will come, but we have to give it to them first."

"When the team shows 100 percent in the game, fighting with everything, they will be proud. This is my job and mine."

"From now on, I will give everything so that they are proud," said Carlos Pena.

This season Persita carries the theme #53TTHEDREAM, which is a campaign of emotional invitations to all elements of Persita to make it stronger, more accomplished, and proud.
