Governor Ganjar Criticizes The COVID-19 Positive Passenger Who Passed The Scanning At The Airport, Officers Are Silent When Asked

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo was furious at the news that a student was positive for COVID-19 but could fly from Semarang. Ganjar secretly immediately conducted an inspection at Ahmad Yani Airport.

"I suddenly went to the airport because I wanted to check what was happening at the location. It turned out that there was a wrong procedure and had to be fixed", wrote Ganjar on Instagram @ganjar_pranowo, Friday, May 7.

This video was shared by Ganjar on his Instagram account. You can see that the airport is quiet. Ganjar, who wears a sarong and blangkon, goes around to all areas of the city.

Reporting from Djawanews, Ganjar met three officers wearing jackets with the words Ministry of Health. Ganjar asked the three people

"Once caught positive for COVID-19, from the check-in here, where did the SOPs go? what did you do after that?", asked Ganjar.

Because he had not received a clear answer, Ganjar tried to repeat his question.

"Suppose like this, the passenger comes, continues to check positive, what does this person continue to do?" asked the PDIP Party politician, who received a silent response from the three people.

"You don't know yet?", said Ganjar sarcastically.

"This is this problem", he continued drifting away.

Ganjar then went around again. He met again with officers at a different airport. Ganjar asked all SOPs for handling aircraft passengers to be audited.

"How can this happen? I ask to be audited. This is in Semarang, if in Semarang, we are wrong, I am responsible", said Ganjar to the person.

"Then find the person", he asked again.

Ganjar asked about the incident at Kualanamu Airport when the used antigen syndicate was raided by the police, not to catch it in Semarang. Ganjar admitted that he was very disappointed to see how this airport was handled in allowing passengers who tested positive for COVID-19.

"If we fail on the flight, it's dangerous", said Ganjar.

"Don't let people take advantage of a pandemic like this", said Ganjar.

Previously, there was a student who could fly to Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan. He flew from Semarang even though his PCR swab test results were found to be positive for COVID-19.
