5 BNPB Helicopters Sent To Jambi To Overcome Forest And Land Fires, Including 2 Water Bombing Units
JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the National Police Headquarters (Mabes) sent five helicopters to assist the work of the Forest and Land Fire Task Force (Karhutla) in Jambi Province.
"Five helicopters from BNPB and the National Police Headquarters were deployed to Jambi for patrols and watering from the air against forest and land fires," said Head of BPBD Jambi Province, Bachyuni Deliansyah in Jambi, Sunday, confiscated by Antara.
He detailed that the assistance consisted of two water bombing helicopters and two helicopters from BNPB. One helicopter aid from the National Police Headquarters, one BNPB helicopter today is still on its way to Jambi.
The five helicopters were alerted at Sultan Thaha Jambi Airport, the main task of conducting monitoring from the air to ensure location points in the event of a fire that is difficult to reach by land.
Currently, the land burned is quite severe in the peat area of Muaro Jambi Regency. Located in Gambit Jaya Village, Sungai Gelam Glasses, Muaro Jambi Regency.

At that location, approximately 250 hectares of burned land. Currently, the fire is still being extinguished by the Karhutla Task Force team, from elements of Manggala Agni, TNI, Polri, BPBD, Fire Care Community (MPA) and the surrounding community.
Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Krisno H Siregar while reviewing the fire in Gambit Jaya Village, Saturday (26/7) said the Jambi Police were still investigating the cause of the fire in the area.
Previously, the Jambi Regional Police had named two suspects in the burning of the Production Forest (HP) area in Peninjauan Village, Muaro Sebo District, Batanghari Regency.
