Marissa Anita Reflects Many On Mother's Role In Film A Normal Woman

Marissa Anita became the central character in Lucky Kuswandi's latest film, A Normal Woman. This film is their latest collaboration after Ali & Ratu-Queen Queens.

Marissa plays Milla, a mother who suddenly changes her skin and starts to interfere with her life as a perfect mother and wife figure. Through his latest role, he felt there was a lot of reflection as a woman.

"After living and living with Milla before and after filming, Milla taught me authentication," Marissa Anita said at a press conference in South Jakarta on Wednesday, July 23.

"The simple language knows who we are. In today's era, women have many roles compared to men being wives, mothers, children, taking care of parents or in-laws, so my reflection of Milla, throughout her life has always been dedicated to other people," he said.

Through his new role, Marissa felt he had to feel full if he wanted to give it to others. He also feels happy to be collaborating with Lucky for the first film Soda Machine Films.

"If we give ourselves to other people but to ourselves, that's the most ideal. Oh yes, life must give other people a feel of fullness like coming from a tree. The roots are strong first so when we face life up and down, our lives are still rooted," he said.

Not only playing a role, Marissa also discussed with Lucky long before the film went through the production process. The scenes in this film resulted in his reflection of his character.

'Me and Lucky have one thing in common, we like to read books. When Lucky tells the story, he brings the book 'Myth of Normal'. The point is that if our body is not normal, there is a signal from the body. From the book then the script becomes a discussion material about Milla's character and about what happened to this character, "the story.

The film A Normal Woman is also played by Dion Wiyoko, Widyawati, Mima Shafa, Gisella Anastasia, and will be released on Netflix on July 24.
