Sambangi Istana MPR Leader, Meet Prabowo Consultation Of The August 15 Annual Session

JAKARTA - A number of leaders of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) visited the Jakarta Presidential Palace, Wednesday afternoon, July 23.

Their arrival was to consult directly with President Prabowo Subianto regarding the preparation of the annual session which was held on August 15.

A number of MPR leaders who attended were MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani along with a number of Deputy Chairmen of the MPR, namely Lestari Moerdijat, Rusdi Kirana, Hidayat Nur Wahid, Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (Ibas), Eddy Soeparno, and Kahar Muzakir.

"The agenda is to consult the preparation of the DPR's annual session which is held 1-2 days before the Indonesian Independence Day," said Eddy Soeparno, quoted by Antara.

Hidayat Nur Wahid also conveyed the same thing. He said the agenda for the meeting of the MPR leaders with President Prabowo to consult regarding the implementation of a state speech on August 15, as well as preparations for the commemoration of Constitution Day on August 18.

"Yes, we will discuss it later, but that's the agenda," said Hidayat.

The MPR leaders began arriving at the Presidential Palace Complex at around 13.50 WIB and until this news was made the meeting was still ongoing.
