There Are No Suspects In The Case Of The KDM Children's Marriage People's Party Ricuh

BANDUNG - The West Java Regional Police (Polda) stated that they had examined 11 witnesses regarding the incident of the tragedy of the people's party during the wedding of West Java Governor Kang Dedi Mulyadi's (KDM) son in the Garut Regency Hall which killed three people.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Hendra Rochmawan, said that the examination of the witnesses had been carried out by the Garut Police (21/7). Currently there are no suspects in this deadly riot case.

"The Garut Police have examined 11 witnesses for questioning during the pushing and trampled action of the crowd who want to enter the Garut Regency Hall," said Hendra in Bandung, Tuesday, July 22.

Hendra revealed that for the development of the investigation, the handling of this case is now being withdrawn to the West Java Regional Police level and handled directly by the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum).

He conveyed that investigators would invite a number of parties to clarify additional things as part of the follow-up plan for the examination.

"The follow-up plan for the examination is to make a letter of invitation for clarification to the Assistant General Administration of the Garut Regency Government, five police officers, Kasatpol PP, GP WO, NAW WO, Vendor Meguanesia, the victim's parents, and residents around the crime scene," he said.

Hendra said the tragedy started when residents were crammed into stock for taking around 5,000 food packages of free food, while the masses that came were almost twice the number of food availability.

"Well, the initial chronology at the pavilion was that a free food package was prepared. The amount of initial information we got was 5,000 packs, then the community queued outside of these pavilion gates," said Hendra.

In this incident, three people were reported to have died and 30 people were rushed to the hospital because they were suspected of cramming each other during a free food session.
