North Sumatra Police Name 26 Suspects In The Company's Assets Prison In Medan From Iron Sampa Gaqar

MEDAN - The North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda) has named 26 suspects in the theft of the assets of a company with the initials PT ARB in Medan Deli District, Medan City.

"Of the 38 suspected perpetrators, 26 of them have been named as suspects," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Police Commissioner Ferry Walintukan, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 22.

The North Sumatra Police confiscated evidence in the form of trucks loaded with iron, pipes, engine components, and tools used to steal, such as welding machines, saws, and pass locks.

According to him, from the evidence stolen by the suspects, the company suffered a loss estimated at IDR 1.5 billion.

"Of the 26 people we have named as suspects, they have different roles, ranging from collectors to executors in the field," he said.

Ferry explained that the arrests of the suspects began with a complaint report from the company, and followed up on the viral case on social media on Sunday (20/7) at around 04.00 WIB.

During the prosecution operation, the police arrested 38 suspected perpetrators in Medan Labuhan District, Medan, 26 of whom have been named suspects.

"We are committed to providing a sense of security for the community and the business world. There is no room for criminals, whoever they are will be prosecuted according to the applicable law," he said.

All suspects and evidence have been secured at the North Sumatra Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings.

His party is also still investigating the possibility of the involvement of other parties in the looting network.
