Bengkulu Police Name 9 Suspects Of Attacking Jukir DKT Hospital

The Bengkulu Police have named nine suspects who are suspected of assaulting a parking attendant (jukir) at the Army Health Detachment Hospital (DKT) Bengkulu City.

Bengkulu Police Chief Kombes Sudarno said there were five suspects with minors, namely RE (15), FZ (17), MM (15), ZP (15) and MF (15).

Meanwhile, the other four suspects are M. Haikal (18), Ade Kurnia (19), Akbar Hidayatullah (18) and Alif Santosa (18).

The suspects were subject to articles of the Emergency Law and articles of beatings resulted in serious injuries.

He explained that the incident was not an attack carried out by the suspects against the Bengkulu City DKT Hospital.

However, it started with four motorcycle gang groups planning to attack the East Gang, Indah, Bengkulu City.

On the way, the perpetrators saw one of the parking attendants who was thought to be a gang and some of their opponents entering the hospital parking lot, causing an attack with the parking attendant victim.

"These perpetrators saw their opponents running towards the parking area, but the wrong target attacked the parking attendant who they thought was their opposing group entering the area until an attack occurred," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 22.

The police also confiscated evidence in the form of one wooden corbek with a length of one meter, a sword with a length of 50 cm, a lehdek, one 35cm long machete, two 8cm long nails wrapped in a raffia rope, and a black flag bearing the officialmaster.

In the attack, the victim, Indra Setiawan, a resident of Kembang Seri District, Central Bengkulu Regency, suffered serious injuries and had to be hospitalized.
