Ambruk Building In Japan Kills 2 Workers Including One Indonesian Citizen

JAKARTA - Two construction workers who died during the demolition of a building in southwest Japan were identified as 23-year-old interns and 41-year-old Japanese men.

Dilansr ANTARA from Kyodo-OANA, Wednesday, July 16, technical interns named Sakti Rahmadani Saputro and Yoshinori Yoshitani, believed to be field managers, died from shortness of breath and a number of trauma injuries in the collapsed building incident in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture.

At around 13.40 local time, Tuesday, July 15, authorities were notified of the incident of the collapse of an uninhabited two-story building for 10 years.

Three construction workers were successfully evacuated from the rubble and two of them were later declared dead in the incident.

Police will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the collapse of the building, while the local labor surveillance office will investigate the incident as a work accident.
