IPhone 17 Series Expected To Release In September 2025

JAKARTA Apple usually launches its newest phone in September. Seeing this timeline of time, the iPhone 17 lineup is expected to launch on the same month globally.

According to Mark Gurman's calculations from Bloomberg, as reported by MacRumors, the iPhone 17 series will be released at the start of the month. Usually, the company always launches its newest iPhone about a week after Labor Day in the US.

This year, US Labor Day falls on September 1 so its launch is expected from September 8 to 12. However, given that Apple has always avoided the 11th and launches on Friday, the most likely date is 8 to 10.

Based on Apple's history of events over the past decade, Apple has launched frequently on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Of the ten launch events, five of them were held on Tuesday, while three of them were held on Wednesday.

Referring to this history, Apple will most likely launch the iPhone 17 series on Tuesday, September 9 or Wednesday, September 10. There is still a possibility that Apple will release it at the beginning of the week, namely on Monday, September 8.

The company is expected to launch four new phone models, namely the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Apple will also introduce Apple Watch SE 3, Apple Watch 11 Seroes and Apple Watch Ultra 3.

It is not yet certain whether Apple will launch an iPhone 17 series in Indonesia along with a global launch. However, unlike the launch of the iPhone 16 series, it is not expected that this new phone line will be too late again.

This was conveyed by Digimap, the official distributor of Apple devices when launching the iPhone 16 series in Jakarta. They believe there is no delay because all requirements submitted by the Indonesian government have been met, including the Domestic Component Level (TDKN).

"Hopefully it won't be (lated), yes. All of them, for the conditions that must be met by the Apple team, it has been fulfilled. So, should, for the next iPhone there be no more problems," said Farah Fausa, GM Marketing Apple Business PT MAP ZONE ADIPERKASA.
