Israel Plans To Defend Military Forces Near Gaza's Rafah

JAKARTA - Israel plans to maintain its military forces near the southern city of Rafah Gaza as part of preparations for the construction of a large refugee camp for hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.

According to an Israeli television channel report, Channel 12 reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Friday, July 11, Israel insisted on maintaining its military presence about 2-3 kilometers north of the Philadelphi Corridor in southern Gaza.

Israel is also said to have submitted a new withdrawal map from Gaza covering the withdrawal from the Morag Corridor that separates Khan Younis and Rafah, while maintaining complete control over the Rafah region.

The relentless attack has destroyed the enclave and made it virtually uninhabitable. The ceasefire talks, still taking place in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
