Prabowo Attends A Meeting In Belgium, Continues To France Watch The Bastille Day Parade

JAKARTA - Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend an economic meeting in Brussels, Belgium, then continue his state trip to Paris, France to witness the Indonesian contingent participating in the 2025 Bastille Day military parade.

"The agenda in Brussels is an economic meeting, then he continued to visit France," said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi when giving a press statement at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Friday, July 11, as reported by ANTARA.

Prasetyo explained that President Prabowo's presence attended French Revolution Day or Bastille Day on July 14 in Paris, France, to fulfill French President Emmanuel Macron's invitation during an official visit to Jakarta in May.

During the official visit, President Macron also invited Indonesia to send its contingent to participate in the parade on the French national day.

According to Prasetyo, the participation of the Indonesian contingent and President Prabowo's presence at Bastille Day is an honor for the State.

The Indonesian contingent consisting of members of the TNI and Polri for the first time appeared as defile troops to enliven the Bastille Day.

"This is an extraordinary tribute to the Indonesian people. It is also a reply from President Macron's visit some time ago to Indonesia," said Prasetyo.

A number of ministers and members of the Red and White Cabinet who attended accompanied the President on a visit to France, namely Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming who is also CEO of BPI Danantara Indonesia Rosan Roeslani and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.

Prasetyo estimates that other ministers will also attend considering that there is cooperation in tourism, culture, and relations with the French government.

President Prabowo Subianto's final agenda on his state visit was to hold a bilateral meeting with Brazilian President Lula da Silva at the Plan Ahead Palace in Brazil on Wednesday (9/7).

After fulfilling the invitation for a state lunch at the Plan Palace, President Prabowo and his entourage departed from Brazil to Brussels, Belgium, on the same day.
