JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the PKB faction, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, revealed that until now there has been no official stance from the DPR RI factions regarding the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which separates national and local elections.

According to him, every faction in parliament is still discussing more deeply internally. He also did not know when the faction leadership and the leadership of the DPR would sit down together to decide on the attitude regarding the Constitutional Court's decision.

So far, said Cucun, joint discussions have only been held at the level of the secretary-general of political parties.

"Nothing yet, only the factions that were seen yesterday were discussing the PKB Faction, so obviously all of them analyzed the substance material, from the material, what the Constitutional Court's decision saw was even into the norm. Then (Fraksi) NasDem has also discussed, which I have seen several factions," said Cucun at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 8.

"Later, the DPR will be special, because the secretary generals have also communicated, if the DPR has not yet," he continued.

The Deputy Chairperson of the PKB also admitted that there had been no discussion between the general chairmen of political parties. Although yesterday, PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar and Democratic Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) met at a meeting of the Coordinating Ministers.

"Not yet, yesterday the Coordinating Minister's Meeting was only for him. Not yet, not yet," said Cucun.
