Central Java Prosecutor's Office Detains Corruption Suspect Plaza Klaten Of IDR 10.2 Billion
The Central Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has detained DS, a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the management of Plaza Klaten, assets belonging to the Klaten Regency Government, which cost the state up to Rp10.2 billion.
Head of Legal Information for the Central Java Prosecutor's Office, Arfan Triono, said that the former Head of Trade of the Klaten Regency Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperative Office was detained for the next 20 days after previously undergoing examination.
"He will be detained at the Semarang Detention Center for the next 20 days," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 23.
According to him, from 2019 to 2022 there were alleged irregularities in the management of assets belonging to the local government.
The suspect DS, he continued, allegedly directly appointed PT Matahari Makmur Sejahtera (MMS). as the party who took advantage of Plaza Klaten.

"The Klaten plateau was then leased back to several companies as third parties," he said.
He said the Klaten Regency Government should have received receipts from the Plaza Klaten rental which reached Rp14.2 billion
Meanwhile, he continued, the regional revenue from the Plaza Klaten rental was only IDR 3.9 billion.
The Prosecutor's Office is still waiting for the results of the official BPKP audit to determine the amount of real state losses.
For his actions, the suspect was charged with Law Number 31 of 1999 which was amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.
In this case, PT Matahari Makmur Sejahtera (MMS) has entrusted state compensation money to the Central Java Prosecutor's Office amounting to Rp4.5 billion
